Keir Rodney Starmer (born 2 September 1962) is a British politician and barrister who has served as Leader of the Opposition and Leader of the Labour Party since 2020.

Starmer was born in London and worked as a lawyer before entering politics. He was elected as a Labour MP in 2015 and served as Shadow Minister for Immigration under Jeremy Corbyn's leadership.
